Aintree
Aintree Sprint Circuit
The Aintree Sprint Circuit is 1847 metres long, flat and especially wide. It consists of only three bends and wide runoffs. Although obviously a power course, reaching good exit speed from all three bends but be mindful of strong tailwinds at the start.
Country Corner is a left-hander and tight on the exit, taking you onto the first straight, next is the sweeping fast right handed Village Corner. Then, onto the fastest part of the course, into Beechers tight right hander.
The Beechers Brook fence is on the outside of this bend (should you run off track you may be charged for any damage to fences or other surroundings) then there’s a short blast to the finish line.
The final straight has been shortened for safety reasons; a chicane was used for a while as faster vehicles used to continue up the escape road on their return to the paddock.
